"It was a really fun experience, you got to put your theoretical skills into a practical
context where you could actually learn how it will work in real-life."
"I found that in two hours of this marketing game, my attention was completely
kept on the game and what I was doing, so I was completely focused."
"For example, looking at something as simple as the 4Ps, you have a very vague idea of what they are because your lecturer has mentioned them, it’s only when you play the game... to then apply the knowledge you have with very interactive learning."
"[Unlike paper-based learning] with the game, you might make a misstep,
but you are allowed to have the opportunity to improve."
"My overwhelming sense of it is that they [students] really, really get it."

What is Practice Marketing?

Practice Marketing is the first in a series of 3D, multiplayer business strategy games designed for McGraw-Hill Education’s new line of digital learning products. A multiplayer simulation of the backpack industry, Practice Marketing enables students to put their marketing skills to the test in a fun and competitive, real-world environment.

In the simulation, students practice marketing strategy by doing what it takes to be an effective marketing manager. Practice Marketing is based on the framework of the "4 Ps" of marketing: Product, Price, Placement, and Promotion. Using strategies learned in class, students must successfully launch a new product to market: a backpack of their own design.

Practice Marketing was designed with McGraw-Hill’s renowned pedagogy for practical learning, and will supplement McGraw-Hill Education’s Marketing curriculum.

Accessible online through McGraw-Hill Connect or directly through www.mhpractice.com, Practice Marketing is available to students taking the Marketing course at participating institutions.
